In a recent interview about the design of Hinata Hyuga, the designer explained that her outfit was a fusion of traditional ninja elements and modern trends. "We wanted to reflect her gentle yet strong personality through her attire," the designer commented.
Hinata's outfit includes a purple ninja suit, symbolizing nobility and calm, combined with practical details for agility in combat. "The color purple is fundamental in Japanese culture, as it is associated with nobility, and we wanted Hinata to reflect this while also being accessible and realistic," the designer added.
The designer also discussed the influence of contemporary trends on character design in anime. "We see a growing demand for characters who are not only strong but also have a sense of style that resonates with viewers. This is particularly important in today's fashion world, where individuality is key," he explained.
The combination of the hooded jacket and black pants was also a conscious decision. "We wanted her to look functional yet elegant, something that could be worn in both combat and daily life. This allows fans to identify more with the character and see Hinata as a role model both in and out of battle," concluded the designer.
